Mario Lemieux, Pittsburg Penguins
Mario Lemieux (/ləˈmjuː/; French: [ləmjø]; born October 5, 1965) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player. He played parts of 17 seasons in the National Hockey League (NHL) for the Pittsburgh Penguins between 1984 and 2005, and he assumed ownership of the franchise in 1999. Nicknamed "the Magnificent One" ("Le Magnifique") and "Super Mario", Lemieux is widely regarded as one of the greatest players of all time for his combination of size, strength, athleticism, and creativity.
Wayne Gretzky, LA Kings
Wayne Douglas Gretzky (/ˈɡrɛtski/ GRET-skee; born January 26, 1961) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player and former head coach. He played 20 seasons in the National Hockey League (NHL) for four teams from 1979 to 1999. Nicknamed "the Great One",[1] he has been called the greatest ice hockey player ever by the NHL[2] based on surveys of hockey writers, ex-players, general managers and coaches.[3] Gretzky is the leading career point scorer and assist producer in NHL history and has more assists than any other player has total career points.[4] He is the only NHL player to total over 200 points in one season, a feat he accomplished four times. In addition, Gretzky scored more than 100 points in 15 professional seasons. At the time of his retirement in 1999, he held 61 NHL records: 40 regular season records, 15 playoff records, and six All-Star records.
Igor Shestyorkin, New York Rangers
Igor Olegovich Shestyorkin (Russian: Игорь Олегович Шестёркин, commonly spelled as Shesterkin; born 30 December 1995) is a Russian professional ice hockey player who is a goaltender for the New York Rangers of the National Hockey League (NHL). He was selected by the Rangers in the fourth round, 118th overall, of the 2014 NHL entry draft. In his first full NHL season in 2021–22, Shesterkin won the Vezina Trophy as the league's best goaltender.
Connor Hellebuyck Winnipeg Jets
After playing one season in the North American Hockey League with the Odessa Jackalopes, Hellebuyck was selected by the Jets in the fifth round, 130th overall, of the 2012 NHL entry draft. He spent two years with the UMass Lowell River Hawks, where he received the inaugural Mike Richter Award as the top goaltender in college hockey. Hellebuyck started his professional career during 2014–15 season with the Jets' American Hockey League affiliate, the St. John's IceCaps.
Nikita Kucherov Tampa Bay Lightning
Nikita Igorevich Kucherov (Russian: Никита Игоревич Кучеров; born 17 June 1993) is a Russian professional ice hockey player who is a right winger and alternate captain for the Tampa Bay Lightning of the National Hockey League (NHL). Regarded as one of the best players in the world, Kucherov won the Hart Memorial Trophy as the NHL's most valuable player, Art Ross Trophy as the league's leading scorer, and the Ted Lindsay Award as the best player voted by fellow NHL players in 2019. He won his second Art Ross Trophy in 2024 and his third in 2025 while also being a finalist for the Hart Trophy and Ted Lindsay Award for the second time in both years, winning the Ted Lindsay Award in 2025,[1] and was the runner-up for the Maurice "Rocket" Richard Trophy as the league's goal-scoring leader in 2017.
Connor McDavid, Edmonton Oilers
Connor Andrew McDavid (born January 13, 1997) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who is a centre and captain for the Edmonton Oilers of the National Hockey League (NHL). Selected first overall by the Oilers in the 2015 NHL entry draft, McDavid is widely considered one of the best players in the world.
